Our Vedic marriage ceremony is deeply rooted in ancient traditions and spiritual practices, primarily based on rituals and practices described in the Vedas (ancient scriptures based out of India). The union of the bride and groom is considered a sacred commitment, often marked by a fire sacrifice and the recitation of Sanskrit mantras throughout the ceremony. There will be lots of flowers and mantras, and the conclusion will be the taking of seven steps together, symbolizing the different aspects of married life.

Devotional Dress / Semi-formal or anything you like; we just ask that you keep it modest. No need to wear stilettos; we are on a farm, after all. The main ceremony will be indoors in a shoe-free zone.

No. Sit down and relax. Chairs will be provided for the ceremony and the reception. Both venue locations are wheelchair accessible.

For those who will be staying overnight on October 2nd, there is a complimentary breakfast. The reception lunch will be around 2 pm. The menu is TBC. Please contact us directly with any dietary concerns and/or needs.

Gita Valley is a slaughter-free dairy farm, temple, and retreat center. If you’re up for a little adventure and want to get down and dirty, we’ve got that option for you. But no worries, you can also leave your boots at home—our farm roads are paved, and everything is well-maintained to ensure a smooth experience for all our guests. We’ve made sure all facilities are wheelchair accessible and designed with a modern, chic touch to keep you comfortable throughout your visit. PARKING- There's plenty.

Because of our 100 resident cows, we ask that you leave your dogs at home to avoid conflicts. Pet cows are happily welcomed.
